Pyeontaek, South Korea— U.S. Representative Mike Coffman spent the Thanksgiving holiday with U.S. troops stationed at Camp Humphreys, South Korea.
“I am honored to be spending Thanksgiving with our troops,” said Coffman, a Marine Corps combat veteran. “Having served, I understand how hard it is to be away from loved ones— especially during the holidays, so for me it’s important to thank them and their families, for their service and sacrifice.”
In addition to his stop at Camp Humpreys, Representative Coffman spent some time with Colorado service members currently stationed at Osan Air Base. (pictured below)
Coffman who serves as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Military Personnel, on the House Armed Services Committee, is leading a bi-partisan Congressional delegation to South Korea and Japan to meet with U.S. service members and their leadership. Site visits included a stop at the Korean Demilitarized Military Zone (DMZ), where recent news events have heightened tensions in the region and has increased the U.S. diplomatic pressure on North Korea.
