Challenges Students in STEM Fields

Washington, D.C. –
U.S. Representative Mike Coffman is excited to announce that Colorado’s 6th Congressional District will be participating in the Third Congressional App Challenge (CAC). The Congressional App Competition is designed to challenge student’s creativity and encourage their participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education fields.

I want to invite all high school students to participate in the Congressional App Challenge,” said Coffman. “This is a great opportunity to not only have your talent recognized locally, but also compete on the national stage.”

The Challenge will run from July 26 through November 1, 2017. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and be given Congressional recognition for their achievements in STEM and Computer Science. Their apps will be featured on a display in the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C., on, and on the Congressional App Challenge website.

To maintain American competitiveness, it is crucial that the United States invests in our youth now, and helps them acquire these valuable skills. The CAC encourages students to pursue those skills and recognizes them for their efforts.
