Today, U.S. Representative Mike Coffman (R-Aurora) was presented with the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) “Guardian of Small Business” Award. The award recognizes Rep. Coffman’s work for his voting record supporting NFIB’s agenda on behalf of America’s small business owners.
"I am honored to be recognized by the NFIB for fighting to promote pro-growth policies that help our nation’s small businesses create jobs,” said Coffman. “As a former small business owner myself, I know firsthand the challenges that these employers face.”
The NFIB is America’s leading small business advocacy association whose mission is to promote and protect small business owners right to own, operate and grow business operations.
“The record shows that Rep. Coffman is a true champion of small business, supporting the votes that matter in the 113th Congress,” NFIB President and CEO Dan Danner said. “This award reflects our members’ appreciation for supporting the NFIB pro-growth agenda for small business.”
The NFIB awards the “Guardian of Small Business” Award based on rankings it gives members of Congress for “key votes” impacting small business during each session of Congress. Those voting favorably on key small business issues at least 70 percent of the time during the 113th Congress are eligible for the Guardian award.
