Ahead of the now controversial speech Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will deliver to a joint session of Congress on March 3, the Intermountain Jewish News asked Colorado’s representatives and senators in Washington, DC if they plan to attend.

Sen. Michael Bennet (D)

Sen. Cory Gardner (R): The junior senator also co-sponsored a resolution welcoming Benjamin Netanyahu to Congress.

Rep. Jared Polis (D-2nd District)

Rep. Scott Tipton (R-3rd District)

Rep. Ken Buck (R-4th District)

Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-5th District): The congressman, who has an Israel fellow on staff, published an op-ed in Israel Hayom urging all members of Congress to attend.

Rep. Mike Coffman (R-6th District): “Shame on anyone who wouldn’t be supporting our greatest ally,” the congressman told the IJN.

Diana DeGette (D-1st District): Her office told the IJN that the congresswoman had a scheduling conflict. She is delivering a keynote address scheduled for shortly before Netanyahu’s speech. Asked if there was an ideological component to her decision, her office said that “There was the logistical conflict before we could dig deeper into the issues on both sides.”

Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-7th District)
