Coffman Appointed Chairman of Veterans Subcommittee PDF Print

WASHINGTON, D.C. –Today, U.S. Representative Mike Coffman (R-CO) announced that he will use his new position as the Chairman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee of the Committee on Veterans Affairs to press the Veterans Administration to accelerate the process for adjudicating claims submitted by veterans who have returned home from Iraq and Afghanistan and to make sure that all veterans are receiving the medical care and the benefits that they have earned.

“I look forward to using my new leadership position in Congress to help the veterans who have served our country and have earned our support,” said Coffman.

Coffman is the only veteran in Colorado’s congressional delegation.  He has a combined 21 years of military experience between the Army, the Army Reserve, the Marine Corps, and the Marine Corps Reserve.  Coffman is a combat veteran with service in both the First Gulf War and in the Iraq War.
